Giving them one star as they did donate a box to our rescue for a prize. But when I asked if they would like to become a rescue partner with us they declined. After asking multiple times why and getting no response, they simply said "not comfortable". We have placed hundreds of dogs in loving homes and not sure what there issue is but not recommending them to any of our adoptees at this time.

I am so far only subscribed for a month but I am so glad I did. What made me subscribe, believe it or not was the customer service, they were great. I had a ton of questions when I was browsing their website and not because I was being difficult but because I got burned by my last subscription with Pupbox. Upon receiving the first box, my decision to bite into a 6-month plan was very easily justified. Everything in the box was good quality as promised. It was a fun surprise opening the box. There were a couple of things in the box that we didn’t quite like because it had poultry, but all I had to do was email them and they sent a replacement immediately. I’m super impressed with how far BarkBox has come since our first time trying it in 2012, They were founded in 2011 (they were the first subscription box I ever heard of) and have the longest time, out of all of the boxes available, to perfect their box just for your dog. And that they did. As they put it, “Having shipped over 50 million toys and treats so far, we’ve learned a ton about what engages dogs.”
Included in the package is a card that lists what was enclosed and information about how to order more of each. I have found the prices to do that are a little high. While I love my pets dearly, I usually get all other treats from my local stores. I have notice that Marshall's and TJ Maxx often carry some of the same packaged treats as found in BarkBoxes.

Our own testing revealed that even the smaller size of this toy was surprisingly durable and it was great for games of fetch. Our test dog couldn't get enough of the KONG Extreme Dog Toy's bouncing action, and the toy remained intact against her sharp puppy teeth.

What comes each month seems to be tied into a holiday or time of year. For example, the BarkBox my dog received last week related to the Chinese New Year and contained treats like "Chompsticks" and a squeaker toy of a stuffed dragon. There are usually at least 2 themed toys, 2 themed smaller packages of treats, and at least 1 generic treat like a chew bone. The treats are marketed as "healthy snacks" like fruit chews and dried salmon. (If you get dried salmon, watch out. It smells! My dog loved it, however.) In addition to treats and toys, dog-related items may be included. We received a small treat jar and a water bottle to use when out walking.
My Mastiff, Thor, and his pitbull sister, Brinley, anxiously await their monthly BarkBox as soon as I tell them it's been shipped. The treats are nutritious, I use some of them in my puppy training classes. Thor commandeers the toys but gradually lets his sister play with them. Most of them hold up very well, lasting for several months. For a heavy chewer like mine, this is a testament to their quality.

My two large GSDs have not chewed through a single toy from the first box we tried, in December. Worth looking into! They were also very responsive to me on the online chat, during their business hours. One chew they went through in minutes, not a toy, but a chew, and because I pay extra I was frustrated. I got an immediate reply from their online chat option, and they offered to send TWO replacement chews. Such great options! I also recommend you trying bullymake, and my favorite is DapperDog, which I was disappointed that it wasn’t even mentioned in this article. Worth looking into!
